wpf - Expression Studio - v2 good enough for learning? -
I have VS 2008, and VS 2010 is expected to move forward very fast. Our application (we have only a few) are all warfarm apps - mostly VB
I want to start learning WPF My version of Expression Studio is version 2. I've heard that the improvements made in version 3 to version 3 are important. If this is an adult app according to the paradigm of version 3 (the initial state of version 1 and the awkwardness of the version 2), I think it is obtained before learning To be worth the investment But, as long as my company was not ready to pay, I was hoping to keep cost.
Thank you!
If you are going to use the expression blend, then I will start with at least 3 versions. The preview is out for .NET4, and the full version should be out shortly.
Blend really is about designer. Almost all things can be taken care of the designer, only a few conversations with the code. Personally, I started learning WPF (and specifically XAML) by writing XAML code directly in Visual Studio. From there, once I enjoyed the markup, I went to Blend, and I had a beautiful firm about what was happening behind the scenario.
A learning aspect (especially XAM mark markup will be nice for you if you inspect the code after making / editing an item. If you want to create a snappy interface and do not spend too much time doing this, then Your program is if you really want to create a UI that is better than WinForms, Visual Studio will be better
You can get a test version of Expression Blend 3 or if you are in school , You can get a full version (Thanks to the DreamSpark program) (Sign up with your schools.)
